Her work is best described as curatorial, enduring, and organic—channeling the European influence of her Dutch heritage with a nod to Scandinavian and Japanese design principles.

Livi herself is equal parts designer and guide, dedicated to creating environments that feel authentic to her clients yet aspirational. She collaborates closely with clients throughout New York and New Jersey, and across the country through virtual design.

Christian Giles brings to Livi Besselaar Design skill and experience in managing projects, people, and the moving parts that make up the inner workings of hospitality and corporate settings. As Executive Partner at LBD, Christian will work alongside Livi to create a balanced process that marries the practical and creative, enhancing efficiency and streamlining practices. He will operate as the Director of Operations, prioritizing and refining the organizational and financial aspects of the design experience.
